Charlotte Boyens is a Welsh architect, designer and printmaker living in East Sussex, working in London. After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1999, she co-founded the pioneering global experience design practice FreeState with her husband Adam Scott.

Charlotte's printmaking work coincided with her move, with the family, from London to the countryside. It explores a more personal world away from FreeState’s interest in the crowd and the city, however her architectural background and love of materiality is a constant thread.

Charlotte draws on her interests and skills in photography, type setting, colour theory, graphic design and interiors. Her work addresses the relationship between the man-made landscape and the mother-nature landscape of the Pembrokeshire coast whilst digging into her Welsh heritage via some loved poets, artists, musicians, designers and friends.
